Kings And Comrades
Kings and Comrades is reggae group, formed 2006-2010 by Jeff McCaughey and Steve Morris in the Philadelphia area, USA. The group started 2006 as an acoustic duo. The band added members on bass, guitar, and percussion and began recording demos and playing shows. Kings And Comrades has successively grown to a band with a horn section, and some members have moved on and been replaced. After a time-out, Kings and Comrades has from 2010 six members: song writer Jeff McCaughey on vocals & guitar – Dennis Stolle on bass – Brandon Paster on keyboards, organ & vocals – Danny Serrano on drums, percussion & organs – Frank Rein on trombone – Rick Rein on trumpet. The music is melodic regular reggae influenced by dub.,
Their so far biggest live show was when they played at The 4th annual California Roots Festival at Monterey County Fairgrounds in Monterey, California, together with bands and artist like Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, and Matisyahu. Kings and Comrades have played many venues in the Philadelphia area including World Cafe Live, and The Trocadero Mainstage. The group released the EP:s ''On The Rise'' (2011) and ''Hypnotized'' (2012). Their first full length album, ''Get Away'' was released 2015 and hit #7 on iTunes reggae charts.
Their most played songs on Internet (Spotify and Yahoo) is "Day and Night", "Guide and Protect", "You and I", "Right Time" and "Touch The Sky" – the three latter from their full length album ''Get Away'' (2015). Their debut album, "Get Away" also hit #7 on iTunes reggae charts.
